Coaching

Delivered through personalized, one-to-one conversation, calibrated to you, the organization you are steering, and the future self you intend to become. Coaching is curiosity-led and rooted in the Oakley Collective methodology. It is where our methodology takes root in the leader.

Sessions run every 2–4 weeks (60–90 minutes each), with light asynchronous availability between sessions. Engagements are packaged 6-month increments or as monthly retainers.

For executive directors, artistic directors, founders, board chairs, and senior staff of arts and cultural institutions.

Consulting

Observation, multi-scale diagnosis, dual-stance advocacy, sustained trust, and frame-adoption.

We offer 3 tiers of engagement:

Embedded Engagement (24–36 months) Acting as a fractional consultant with an evolving role, contributions include daily thought-partnership and deep integration into the organization's daily work.

Strategic Engagement (3–9 months) Serving as a strategic plan facilitator and architect, the process and resulting plan serves as a compass and anchor for organizations undergoing or seeking to undertake organizational change.

Targeted Engagement (3–6 months) Working as designer of new programs, including cultivating new partners, creating new organizational structures and systems, recalibrating strategic frameworks, writing advocacy and fundraising plans.

Learning Cohorts

Learning Cohorts presents a structured and collaborative vehicle to explore organizational and leadership work, anchored in a methodology with intellectual depth and successful practical application.

Members of the Cohort receive a library of resources, templates and tools you can adapt to your own experience, and access to institutions and leaders. You will be connected to a network of like-minded peers across disciplines, sectors, and geographies.

Core learning modules include:

4 Foundations

1) Methodology overview
2) Montessori principles for arts organizations
3) Civilizational vision and advocacy
4) Research foundations

4 Applied Practice

1) Strategic Planning and Readiness
2) Advocacy and Fundraising
3) Partnership Program Design
4) Artistic Process for Organizational Development

For individual practitioners, small organizations, artists and arts professionals who crave a learning framework and a learning community.

Leadership Institute

The Leadership Institute is a structured, cohort-based engagement designed to walk twenty to thirty participants through the methodology as applied to a specific leadership-development project of their own.

The program unfolds in three phases: a three-day residential retreat (five foundational workshops — Partnership & Engagement, Strategy & Tactics, Data & Defining Success, Fundraising & Advocacy, Sustainability & Vision), three months of stakeholder engagement and plan refinement in the participants' own contexts, and six months of project implementation with peer cohort access, paired coaching, and ongoing facilitation.

The 2024–25 pilot cohort produced strong outcomes. The relaunch under this architecture gives the Institute an intellectual foundation, a wraparound community, and a pipeline it did not have the first time.

For — arts leaders ready to invest in a transformational arc with a defined outcome: earlier-career or transitioning leaders, founders, and creative-community organizers.
